1. Communications
Committee- The communications committee was formed to continually evaluate and implement the most cost effective and efficient methods of communication between our members, the Chamber Board and the Woodstock community. Our vision is that the Chamber of Commerce becomes the "NEXUS" for business in the Woodstock community. Our goal is to have the membership provide goods and services to each other to strengthen the relationship and economic status within the community. The committee focuses on increasing partnerships and business relationships through the utilization of the following communication methods. The internet, Chamber web site, newsletters, local media, direct mail, face to face communication and social media. The committee meets once a month at the Chamber office.
2. The Retail
Committee- Meets at least once a month.
The Retail Committee must consist of retailers
on, off, and around the Woodstock Square, ensuring
a cross-section of our retail members. The
Retail Committee will be responsible for communicating
with the retail community upcoming events and
opportunities that will affect their business.
The Retail Committee will continue to pursue
advertising and marketing campaigns and work
with the local tourism groups. The Retail Committee
is the link between the Chamber, the City and
the Retailers. The Retail Committee will also
work with IRMA, through the Chamber, providing
retailers with special programming and informing
retailers of any changes or happenings. The
Retail Committee Chair will work with the Programming
Chair and the Leadership Education Chair on
events and education forums. At least one Board
Member will reside on this committee.
3. Membership
Committee- Meets twice a
month to strengthen the membership of the WCCI.
The Membership Committee will
follow up to new members for the first six
months of joining, ensuring the new member
attends mixers, all member events and is introduced
to other chamber members. Membership drives
will take place in the future and this committee
will coordinate such events with the Chamber
Staff. The Membership Committee
will deliver pertinent member information in
forms of e-mails or faxes. The Committee will
also work the Chamber Staff on upcoming member
events, with personal phone call reminders
to membership. The Membership
Committee with work with the Chamber Staff
in identifying new recruitment ideas and member
incentives, to retain and attract members.
This Committee is vital for the future of the
Woodstock Chamber of Commerce. At least one
Board Member will reside on this committee.
All Committees must be consisted of Woodstock Chamber of Commerce Members
and at least one Board of Director from the WCCI. The Chamber will allow
a guest or non-member to attend a meeting, though no more than three times.
The Chamber feels that after three visits, a guest or non-member is able
to make an educated decision on whether or not to join the Chamber. We certainly
hope the guest or non-member will decide to join and continue serving on
a committee. The Chamber will make available the Board Room located in the
back of the Chamber office to committees. However, the Chamber will need
to be informed three weeks in advance if you would like to reserve the Board
Room. No fee will be charged.
